Easter Carnival: Saturday, March 28th.
(Yes, it's Palm Sunday weekend!)
Volunteer Training Meeting: March 22nd, during 3rd hour
Our purpose in having the Easter Carnival is to glorify Jesus by celebrating Easter big and well with a family-friendly event.
The carnival is inside and functions in an open-house style, where families are free to move from station to station at their own pace. Families may visit the stations in any order.
CARNIVAL DETAILS:
- Easter Carnival open 9:00-11:00 am.
- Kids will visit 12 different games and collect prize eggs to fill their egg cartons.
- Games will be gospel-centered so that each family hears the message of Easter!
- Families will leave with their eggs and prizes, as well as a book with the Easter message to enjoy at home.
VOLUNTEER DETAILS:
- Volunteers will need to arrive before 8:30am. And after the carnival ends, at 11:00am, we would love for volunteers to help us clean up the items at their booth before going home.
- In an effort to prepare volunteers, we are holding a Sunday morning training meeting on March 22nd during 3rd hour, in Kid Central. We will:
- Distribute shirts
- Discuss flow of the carnival
- Give a short talk on how to share Jesus with families who attend
- Pass out job assignments and game instructions
- Answer all of your Easter Carnival questions
- Please make every effort to attend if you are able!
CARNIVAL NEEDS:
- This ministry takes about 100 volunteers! We like to run 3 sets of 12 unique booths. That means 36 total booths, with about 6 people at each booth- that's 72 volunteers just to manage booths! Plus, we need lots of general event workers!
- If you know anyone who loves Jesus and wants to celebrate by volunteering with us, please encourage them to sign up or contact a Children's Ministry leader.
- Join us in praying not only for the right volunteers in the right places, but also for those from our church and community who will be attending.
- Pray that attendees learn about and celebrate Jesus, that they sense God’s love in our church community, and that they grow in their relationships with God.
- Above all, pray that Jesus would be glorified.
Thanks again for your help and enthusiasm in celebrating Jesus this Easter!
